GCP Data Engineer (Greece)

Responsibilities:
 

  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements

  • Design data solutions with architects in GCP

  • Automate data pipelines and frameworks

  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure scalability

  • Address non-functional requirements and ensure security

  • Mentor team members and ensure governance compliance

  • Implement data platform features and CI/CD practices

  • Assume ownership from design to production performance

  • Implement automated testing across unit, integration, and acceptance levels

 

Requirements:
 

  • At least 2 years of professional experience as a Cloud Data Engineer – Google Cloud, Azure, AWS or other.

  • Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL or others..

  • Experience with Python and libraries such as PySpark, Pandas and NumPy.

  • Familiarity working with Java for data processing and analysis.

  • Experience with API development, design patterns, and security

  • Familiarity with data processing tools such as NiFi, Kafka, Druid, Hive, Beam, Airflow or others

  • Understanding of different file formats and data sources moving data into and out of HDFS

  • Experience with issue tracking, source code management, and Continuous Integration tools

  • Strong Unix and scripting skills

 

Advantages:
 

  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

  • Experience in Java or R

  • CI/CD experience

  • Knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
