AWS Technical Lead (Greece)

Responsibilities:
 

• Technical leader within the team, driving the success of data engineering initiatives 
•  Lead the team in meeting project deadlines and technical objectives while ensuring a high level of team collaboration.
• Planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud solutions
• Build, release, and manage the data driven solutions
• Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
• Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
• Ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions and best practices in this area
• Use, implement and support CI/CD pipelines when necessary
• Recommend process and architecture improvements
• Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains
• Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company’s services and products


Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Previous experience with data engineering leadership roles or technical team management will be a significant advantage.
• Experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, S3, EMR, and Athena
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, manipulation, and querying large datasets
• Strong programming skills in Python or R for data analysis tasks
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Spark and Scala for big data processing will be considered an advantage.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing will be considered an advantage.
