GCP Data Engineer

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala
• Experience with API development, design patterns, and security
• Familiarity with data processing tools such as NiFi, Kafka, Druid, Hive, Storm, Ignite, and Kudu
• Understanding of different file formats and data sources moving data into and out of HDFS
• Experience with issue tracking, source code management, and Continuous Integration tools
• Strong Unix and scripting skills

Advantages:
 

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
• Knowledge of Big data open-source technologies such as Hadoop, Workflow
• Experience in Java or R
• CI/CD experience
• Knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Responsibilities:
 

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements
• Design data solutions with architects in GCP
• Automate data pipelines and frameworks
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure scalability
• Address non-functional requirements and ensure security
• Mentor team members and ensure governance compliance
• Implement data platform features and CI/CD practices
• Assume ownership from design to production performance
• Implement automated testing across unit, integration, and acceptance levels
