We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Senior Power BI Consultant to lead the delivery of Power BI solutions for our clients. This role requires deep expertise in the Power BI ecosystem, a strong understanding of data modeling and visualization best practices, and the ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade BI architectures. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in mentoring and upskilling junior consultants, ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Power BI projects, from requirements gathering through to delivery and user enablement.
• Develop complex DAX measures, custom visuals, and optimized data models that adhere to performance and usability standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into effective data visualizations and reports.
• Conduct client workshops, demos, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Ensure high-quality project documentation, including technical designs and user manuals.

Solution Architecture

• Design scalable and secure Power BI architectures that integrate with enterprise data sources, such as Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Lead the creation of enterprise data models, semantic models, and Power BI governance frameworks.
• Define and enforce standards around dataset size, refresh strategy, gateway configuration, security roles, and report deployment pipelines.
• Provide strategic guidance on the use of Power BI Premium, Fabric, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Power BI service features.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Act as a technical mentor and coach to junior Power BI consultants.
• Provide structured learning plans, conduct code reviews, and support career development for team members.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal best practices, templates, and reusable assets.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, quality, and innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade Power BI solutions.
• Expert-level proficiency with DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI platform.
• Proven experience in designing and optimizing large-scale data models and semantic models.
• Solid understanding of Power BI Service, including workspace configuration, sharing, security (RLS/OLS), and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, AWS Redshift) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, PowerShell scripting, or Power BI REST API is a plus.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience within a BI or analytics team.
