Azure Data Engineer Lead

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of data architecture principles, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities to support the growth of team members.

• Strong expertise with Apache Spark, Python, and SQL for Big Data processing.

• Previous experience leading development teams or serving in a senior/lead engineering role.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Github Actions)

• Experience with cloud security  

• Nice to have: Relevant certifications, such as, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure Azure solutions.

• Implement Azure services (e.g., Synapse, Functions, SQL Database) for performance and availability.

• Lead code reviews to ensure project quality.

• Use SQL for tasks beyond data transformation.

• Design and enhance Data Warehouse architecture.

• Troubleshoot Azure-related issues and mentor team members in problem-solving.

• Translate business requirements to technical specifications.

• Stay updated on Azure trends and propose innovative solutions to advance client capabilities.
